COLE CLARK FAT LADY 2 DREADNOUGHT AUSTRALIAN BLACKWOOD CUTAWAY ACOUSTIC GUITAR

Australian Blackwood Top, Back and Sides.

The Cole Clark FL2EC is the guitar of choice for discerning performers who want to harness the benefit that the ‘3-Way' on-board amplification offers with its integrated microphone blending. The FL2EC also features a few subtle aesthetic upgrades compared with its FL1 series sisters.

All Cole Clark Fat Lady series guitars share common geometry and construction methods:

FEATURES
- All solid timber
- Spanish (integral) heel design for superior fitment and resonance
- Internally CNC carved soundboard and back
- FL lattice style soundboard bracing
- Transverse back bracing
- Nitrocellulose lacquer finish

The FL2 series instruments are fitted with Cole Clark's new generation on-board 3-way amplification system. This state-of-the-art system allows seamless blending of the 6-piezo undersaddle bridge pickup with a Face Sensor plus an internal condenser microphone. The Bridge-Face control on the preamp allows frequencies above 350Hz to be mixed from the body or bridge pickups, while the big clean bottom end frequencies are always sourced from the bridge pickup, which helps control feedback. The Mic control allows fading of the internal mic to amplify higher frequencies (>2.1kHz), which provides a very natural and softened top end response.

The 3-Way amplification system embodies 'all things great' about the original Cole Clark Faceblend system (still fitted to the Fat Lady 1 series instruments), but now delivers the next level of accurate, natural acoustic amplification with an incredibly versatile, easy to use preamp control layout. The fascia is made of durable aluminium and clearly annotated, and the 9V battery is located in an externally accessible hatch adjacent to the end-pin.

Cole Clark fit the FL2 series with a selection of the finest quality components:

- Grover tuning machines
- Graphtech TUSQ XL nut impegrated with PTFE lubrication for string tuning stability
- Graphtech TUSQ compensated saddle and bridge pins for enhanced sustain

ABOUT COLE CLARK
Founded in 2001, Cole Clark combines classical construction with innovative design and manufacturing techniques to produce a lighter, ber, unique guitar with a natural amplified sound.

UNIQUE CONSTRUCTION
Cole Clark steel string acoustic guitars are the only mainstream acoustic to use a Spanish heel or integral neck construction. This means the neck is glued to the face along with the sides and the back so the neck is one piece all the way to the sound hole. On other guitars, the body is made then the neck attached, mostly with a bolt or dove tail join. Due to our method, the sound is unique. Cole Clark also has a carved top and back and uses a ridge system to join the sides to the top and back instead of kerfing.

NATURAL PICKUP
The Cole Clark patented pickup system is the most acoustic sounding pickup available.
Aimed at finding a more natural tone when amplified and eliminating piezo 'quack', our pickups comprise different elements that only hear certain frequencies which they're best equipped to handle.

TIMBERS
Cole Clark guitars are all solid timber using mostly native Australian tone woods that are largely sustainable.
