After all, apart from the modern tweaks of an added LED and a 9V DC input, this looks like a straight-up reboot of the 1970s relic, right down to its simple type stencilled onto the classic chunky aluminium shell to ape the original units. Under the hood, though, it’s a different story: the circuitry of the new Orange Distortion has been rebuilt from the ground up, ditching the original’s back-to-back diode design and replacing it with an amp circuit including a tone stack, where bass and mids are preset but treble is user-adjustable via a little trimmer inside the casing.

The twin channel Crush 20 takes an uncompromising approach to guitar tone and puts it in a compact and portable package. With footswitchable Clean and Dirty channels Orange's new high gain, four stage preamp design serves up a huge palette of overdriven and distorted sounds, rich in harmonic overtones.

Plug into 100 watts of versatility with the Gain Baby. Its lightweight yet robust chassis with class A/B solid state power stage offers two distinct channels to suit players of every style.

Not just for gain, the unit’s silky clean channel includes an integrated VCA compressor to alleviate the need for an additional stomp box. Plus, integrated bass and treble controls make it simple to dial in the desired frequencies.

Four distinct stages are available on the high gain channel allowing players to dial in their preferred level of crunch and saturation. After an initial run in 2015 to huge public and critical acclaim, the Orange O Bass is back with some tweaks, both big and small, to cement its position as one of the easiest-playing, most colourful and most versatile bass guitars out there. The best bits of the original O Bass have been retained: there’s the classic single cutaway body shape and the split-coil pickup positioned slightly more neckwards than most other basses, all the better for producing that deep, warm growl. The diverse options for tone are still in place, too: players with a softer touch can be transported to Motown territory, with earthy RnB overtones in abundance, but dig in a little deeper and the O Bass responds with an infectious harmonic grind that recalls the birth of rock ‘n’ roll. Alternatively, roll back the tone knob and revel in clouds of mellow dub and laid-back reggae.

Fitted with a pair of Celestion Vintage 30 speakers, the PPC212OB’s design accentuates the top end frequencies whilst softening the bass response. The split rear panel means the delivery is less directional, creating an airy, spacious and three-dimensional sound. The added presence and chime makes the PPC212OB especially suited for cleaner styles, or for players who want a more vintage combo-type tone from their amp head. The PPC212OB features an 18mm birch plywood shell with our signature skid runners secured to the base to help acoustically couple the cabinet to the stage.

And then come the improvements: immediately obvious is the binding that’s been added all round the instrument to give a premium feel, and the headstock is now coloured black on both the orange and black models for a timeless, classic look. But plenty of innovation lurks beyond the cosmetic, too, helping the O Bass play even better than ever. A body made from west African okoumé wood and a fretboard now made from super-durable purpleheart balances the instrument to perfection whether it’s played stood up or seated, and with the fretwork and neck moulding retooled with playability in mind, jumping around the neck and funky octave swoops have never felt more natural.

The O Bass started out with far more personality, adaptability and good looks than is strictly fair to the competition. With its 2022 makeover, the Orange O Bass just got even better.

Capable of 15, 7, 1 or 0.5 Watts of output, the Rocker 15 Terror is the head only version of the enormously popular Rocker 15 Combo that moves seamlessly from the home, to the studio, to the stage. Finally, a small, two channel, bedroom-friendly all-valve amp that you can legitimately gig!

With the Rocker 15 Terror set wide open, smaller venues are comfortably taken care of. Thanks to the same beefy transformers as the combo version, the Rocker 15 Terror has a remarkably potent delivery which takes full advantage of its EL84 output section. Even when scaling back the power, the amp's tone stays fat and full, oozing warm valve compression and saturation without disturbing the neighbours.
