Just as each player has an individual voice, shell materials -particularly on snare drums- react differently to the drummer's unique approach. This is why Pearl's Free Floating snares have been custom-tailored to fit a specific task by model.

Pearl's revolutionary die-cast Free Floating chassis allows each shell to speak with a voice that is uninhibited by shell hardware, for true tonal purity. Individually chosen by size, shell type, and application, each drum is true to the Free Floating concept, and gives the player an unrestrained voice within the tonal spectrum.

Features an EvenPly Six (5.4mm) Premium SST Birch shell, for brighter wood tone and sizzling ghost note sensitivity.

After a long process of research and experimentation, in close cooperation with our Artist Federico Paulovich, the new “Est.1931 Series” is here, as a tribute to the year of our company’s foundation. “Est.1931” cymbals are dry, smooth, warm with a traditional sound, but updated to perfectly fit new modern music styles. Crashes are dark, warm, smoky, soft, very low pitched, with a soft response and short sustain. Rides are extremely dry, musical, very controllable with an excellent stick definition, but still crashables. Hi Hats feature a warm chick, dry sound, good response and great control.

Meinl Cymbals artist Mike Johnston selected these cymbals for a big tonal palette using a minimal setup. This mix of cymbals is loaded with warm texture and dynamic sensitivity. The set completes a standard kit. Includes Mike’s signature Byzance 21” Transition Ride. Great for pop, R&B, fusion, funk, songwriter, jazz, and acoustic.

With an exceptionally quick and sensitive response from the lightest touch, S Family thin crashes feature a bright, full crash sound with a beautiful shimmery sustain. Smaller size thin crashes are light and quick, and also work well as stacker cymbals.
