After a long process of research and experimentation, in close cooperation with our Artist Federico Paulovich, the new “Est.1931 Series” is here, as a tribute to the year of our company’s foundation. “Est.1931” cymbals are dry, smooth, warm with a traditional sound, but updated to perfectly fit new modern music styles. Crashes are dark, warm, smoky, soft, very low pitched, with a soft response and short sustain. Rides are extremely dry, musical, very controllable with an excellent stick definition, but still crashables. Hi Hats feature a warm chick, dry sound, good response and great control.

Redesigned by Terri Lyne Carrington for 2008, the 22" K Custom High Definition Ride is thinner than the original model for greater "crashability" and feel while riding. It features the same spiral lathing on top but the bottom has been left unlathed to help retain the dryness and stick definition. Perfect for use in both electric and acoustic settings, this Ride has a great amount of body and tone while still sounding "dry" and controlled.
Important information about this cymbal:This cymbal is hand-crafted using processes that give it a unique and deliberately varied finish. Variations in color, hammer marks, pitting, and other visual marks are expected and are inherent of these special processes to achieve this cymbal's look and unique sound. Such variations should not be considered a defect in workmanship. We do not recommend cleaning any of our natural finish cymbals with cymbal cleaning products as they should only be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth.
