DW's flagship line, the Collector' Series, are the original US-made custom drums. For years, drum makers have preferred maple for its resonant tonal qualities. Maple is a traditional shell material that provides low-end punch, warmth and attack. 

This shell set features DW's patented STM (suspension tom mount) system, which allows drums to vibrate independently, allowing maximum resonance while securely holding the drum in place. Because there are no washers or grommets inhibiting the lug rod receiver, choking is reduced and tuning is as easy as ever.

To give drummers even more control over their sound, DW created its patented True-Pitch rod system. The rods feature 5mm threads rather than the 12/24 that' standard on most other drums. To compare, there is 1 thread every 0.8mm on True-Pitch rods (about 20% more threads), versus 1 thread every 1.05mm on most other drums. The result is a more exacting tuning process.

VINTAGE SOUND FOR A MODERN WORLD

Gibraltar snares are designed to fit many manufacturers' snare drums.

They are made to fit snare drums ranging from 10" to 14" in diameter and are primarily designed for Jazz, Rock and concert performance applications, such as field marching corps or similar performance situations.

Inches: This designates the diameter drum the snare is designed to fit. It may not be the actual length of the snare wire assembly.

Strands: This is the amount of snare wires on each snare.

The 22" AAX Heavy Ride from SABIAN introduces a whole new palette of sound to the AAX line. A larger, raw bell equals better crash-ability, typically not the case with a heavy ride. A whole new style of hammering − much more visible on the surface of the cymbal due to the larger, rounder peen − makes for a ride cymbal that trends thinner than a traditional heavy ride, with added darkness and complexity. At the same time, more highs are introduced into the sound, resulting in a wider band of frequency. For drummers, that means brighter highs and more complex lows. AAX Heavy Rides are no exception, answering the call for crash-able, complex Rides with added versatility.

The 20″ AAX Thin Crash provides super-fast response, added complexity and is slightly darker than the typical AAX.  At the same time, more highs are introduced, which for drummers means brighter highs and more complex lows.
