They feature traditional K hammering, plus a variety of additional modern hammering techniques that produce unique sonic capabilities. Recommended for modern jazz, studio, country and medium rock. Forged from the legendary 602 Bronze (CuSn20), offering a complete new wide and dynamic sound dimension, developed in close collaboration with Vinnie Colaiuta, handcrafted from start to finish by highly skilled Swiss craftsmen, conceived and executed according to Vinnie's uncompromising sound concepts for a wide all-round application. Formula 602 Modern Essentials cymbals combine the essence of the Formula 602 Classic Sounds models – transparency and stick definition – with the richness, warmth, darkness and a bit of complexity of the Signature Traditionals series besides providing slightly more pizzazz than its Classic Sounds siblings.

Designed for Mike Portnoy, this stacking of a special design China Kang over a special-design Splash or Crash – depending upon which model – provides a rapid-fire burst of attack. The SABIAN 8” High Max Stax features an 8” China Kang over an 8” Max Stax Splash – both cymbals have unlathed edges for durability and power. The 10” Mid Max Stax features a 10” Max Stax China Kang over a 10” Max Stax Splash – again, both cymbals are designed with unlathed edges for power and toughness. And the 12” Low Max Stax features a 12” Max Stax China Kang over a 14” Max Stax Crash. SABIAN introduces HH Remastered – with more hammering, more complexity, and more tone. Much like a remastered classic album is taken from the great to the sublime, HH Remastered adds complexity and tone to each cymbal, delivering unmatched sonic texture across the entire line.

K Zildjian cymbals continue to inspire drummers today with their deep, warm, and expressive sounds developed by Kerope Zildjian in 19th Century Turkey. Elaborate hammering and lathing techniques work the Zildjian alloy into versatile cymbals that are dark yet well suited for a wide variety of musical genres from jazz to rock.

The Natural Series have been sensitively updated and fine-tuned with the purpose of getting back to the main features that have defined this range since its conception.

The heaviest weight of all the A Custom Crashes, the new Medium Crashes have a sharp, cutting attack with a high pitched cymbal sound, yet shimmer with brilliance and musicality. Featuring an all-brilliant finish, heavier weight and a large cup, they have the range to offer cymbal sounds from light, musical accents to loud, cutting punctuations.
The choice of renowned rock, metal and fusion drummers, A Customs feature a brilliant finish and radical new hammering techniques that deliver a crisp, sweet, sophisticated A Zildjian sound, but with a contemporary feel. A Customs are not too dark and not too bright with a fast response and clean attack.
