Hand-hammered and completely unlathed, Byzance Dark cymbals immediately hit the sweet spot with crashes that open up just enough, then get out of the way. The hihats and rides provide clarity, cut and volume, along with a prominent dark tone brought out by their unique surfaces. Made in Turkey from B20 bronze and hand-hammered into shape. The surfaces here are left unlathed creating the dark finish except for the Spectrum Hihats and Ride which are partially lathed in a spiral pattern.

The Byzance Foundry China Ride delivers an articulate knock that china rides are known for; however, this china can also be delicate and sensitive when needed due to the thin weight. Don’t be fooled by the weight though as it easily opens to a roar, that you not only hear but feel, due to the large size and complex hand-hammering. The four rivets add just enough sizzle to carry this cymbal along when riding and will be perfect for a long-decay crash accent. Play this cymbal with a mallet, and you will add a whole new dimension of sound to your arsenal.

The Bosphorus Turk China is a dark and dry, earthy, punchy brilliant sounding cymbal, that retains the shimmering, shiney qualities associated with Chinas. Ideal for low volume applications.
