All-Maple Shell

The warm and bright character of Tour Custom drums is thanks to the all-Maple shell construction. A 6-ply, 5.6mm shell with 45° bearing edge delivers tonal depth and fast response, providing a glorious sustain. The sonic potential of the Maple shell is maximized by gorgeous satin lacquer finishes, further cementing Tour Custom drums as the ultimate kit for any style or genre.

Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System 

Tour Custom drums feature YESS (Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System) mounts, which are designed to minimze contact between the shell and mount, resulting in a greater dynamic range and extended sustain.

Inverse Dyna Hoop

With a freshly designed 2.3mm Inverse Dyna Hoop, the natural harmonics characteristic of all-Maple shells are controlled, with the fundamental note being focused for greater performance.

Absolute Lugs

Featuring Yamaha's proprietary Absolute Lugs, the sophisticated design of Tour Custom shells adds an element of sophistication to the kit.
